Message from the NAYDO Chair

2025-2028 STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

Dear NAYDO Members,

In June, NAYDO held its 2026 Conference site visit and planning sessions with our host Y, YMCA of Greater Long Beach, and NAYDO Council members. It was energizing to see the space and envision what the conference will be next May 6-9 in sunny Southern California.

NAYDO Council also spent considerable time discussing our Strategic Plan and operational focus for the next three years, and we feel we are headed in the right direction. As a professional development organization dedicated to helping advance the Y mission through philanthropy, NAYDO is committed to helping YMCA staff and volunteers develop fundraising skills while creating a culture of giving.

Our four Strategic Priorities are:

  1. Increase NAYDO’s Organizational Capacity
  2. Clarify and Elevate the NAYDO Brand
  3. Expand NAYDO Programs and Services
  4. Deepen NAYDO Member Engagement and Support

As Council continues to lean in and build out our goals for the next few years, we welcome your thoughts and feedback on the strategic planning framework. Feel free to send me or any of the Council members suggestions, insights or ideas.

You can help us with Priority 4 and discover the power of NAYDO (#PowerofNAYDO) by getting involved. The more you get involved in NAYDO, the more you’ll get out of it! Join the conference committee, submit a workshop/webinar proposal, volunteer for a special project, or participate in one of our 10 networks – there is truly something for everyone.

The NAYDO Membership enrollment period opens July 21, so don’t miss out on enjoying your NAYDO member benefits and renew as soon as you can.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
